This New York City apartment near the East River was transformed into a modern pied à terre with plenty of well-lit areas to display an important collection of contemporary art. Circulation was simplified and an area of raised floor was removed to help meet local accessibility requirements. New carpet and cork flooring offer a unique and cozy feel. What was considered the master bath was properly enlarged. More closet space and clever wall units were included to maximize storage.
